How I Stay On Track When Life Gets Busy
Life is busy. We all know this but despite knowing this I somehow always end up off track with my goals and healthy lifestyle. Lately I’ve been catching myself thinking that I have too much to do and so little time. I catch myself feeling anxious or stressed thinking I have deadlines to meet and that I could potentially let others and myself down by not completing them. This is bullshit by the way. Reframing your thinking is key and it takes time and effort. Here are some of the things I do to stay on track when life gets busy:
- Exercise! No matter what, make time to exercise. This helps your body and your mind. I spend a lot of the day sitting down so I like to take yoga classes either early in the morning or later in the day. If I don’t have time for a class I usually try to make sure that I get up every hour and walk around a bit.
- I’ve recently written down some affirmations. These are super important when trying to rewire your thinking. Soon I’m going to make them into a tape so that I can listen to them whenever I need to.
- Take some time for myself. This usually involves ice cream. 🙂
These are just a couple examples of what you can do to take a minute and reset. Now back to busy life!
